You can learn programming from a book or Web site; you don’t have to take a class in it. Just google for it and go. Try www.w3c.org for HTML and CSS documentation to start.

I will highly appreciate any simple php script, and I can figure out the rest.

You need PHP to get the date of the clients computer and submit this to the DB as well then when they log in it will get the date of the clients machine and store it. Then when they log in after that you can echo it.

I will write a script before I log of for you.

Here is how to get the date

$DateandTime = date("Y-m-d H:i:s");
echo "$DateandTime";
?>

You would then use sessions to bounce the time of their log in around the site along with their username.

Do you know how to store this in a DB?

I am 31 years old, have a chemistry degree and have worked in a shop and call centre so far in my career. I want to switch to become a PHP developer and have about 3 months solid PHP/MySQL learning behind me. I also did 1 year of computer programming in a practical project at uni in C (not PHP). Can you provide me with any guidance on how to get into a career in PHP as all the jobs I have been looking at ask for 1 years commercial experience, even for junior developers. Where should I look? What should I do?

Both are required but not using php. Actually web designing is extreme required using ASP.NET
Oracle DBA is required too. The salary for an Oracle DBA is more than the salary for a web designer. And it depends on the nationality of the person and his certificates.
