Do you think it’d be ok if I took Introduction to programming:Java and PHP:MySQL at the same time in the fall?

Is it ok to take PHP&MySQL without prior programming experience besides HTML?

I would say not to take them at the same time. What you want to do is get a good understanding of the fundamentals and then expand on them. So taking an intro to programming and perhaps intro to database design would be the way to go.

If you have access to an adviser, I’d say talk with one before deciding. They will be in a better position to help you layout your course selections.

it is the best way to take those 4 language simultaneously. HTML is a basic part of creating a web pages. PHP and HTML work together and at the same time can stand alone, java scripting is one way on validating information that will be need to execute while MySQL is the required RDBMS used by PHP.

I’m taking PHP now, I took into to programming the semester before. Honestly you will get confused between the two, they’re very similiar. It would be easier for you to take intro to programming first rather than risk getting confused unless you already have programming knowledge. If you know VB then PHP is pretty similar.
